Last January I shared that I had been selected to the Florida Super Lawyers Rising Stars list for the first time. This January the letter came again: I have been selected to the 2025 Rising Stars list, my second consecutive year.
The second one means something different than the first. A single selection can be a good year. A repeat selection means the lawyers who practice alongside you, and against you, looked at another full year of work and reached the same conclusion twice. Since the list is rebuilt every year through peer nominations, independent research, and attorney evaluations, nobody coasts onto it.
Super Lawyers is a rating service from Thomson Reuters. The Rising Stars list recognizes lawyers who are 40 or younger or in their first ten years of practice, and the selection process combines peer nominations, independent research, and evaluations by other attorneys. No more than 2.5 percent of the lawyers in Florida are selected to Rising Stars in a given year, and you cannot buy your way onto the list. That is what makes it worth writing about.
The past year was full of hard cases and clients who trusted me at the worst moments of their lives, in criminal courtrooms and in injury cases across Tampa Bay. That trust is the real recognition, and it is the standard I hold every file to. The listing is on my Super Lawyers profile.
